I have spent almost 30 years working on this family history, and still this is a work in progress. So keep checking back.

Recently I found where the Berks family lived in Germany, which I thought would be near to impossible. I have read the microfilms of Catholic Church records and found Berks spelled Bercks, Berx, Berghs, Bergs, and Box. You will find copies of the church records included. There are also copies of Hoffmann's German church records.

There are over 1000 pictures and documents in this site so far, so click on each individual's Scrapbook to see them. Some of them can take a while to download, so be patient if you do not have a broadband or DSL connection to the internet. Click on a picture to enlarge it.

The ancestry report uses 'Ahnentafel' numbering. This means that a person's parent's numbers will be twice as large as the person's number. So if someone's number is 15, his/her father will be number 30, and mother will be 31. His/her child will be number 7.
