Perlengraben (Street) is in the central part of old Cologne. It is the white diagonal street about two sections above the wharf, Zollhallen. This is where Johann and Sophia lived when Jacob and Anton were born -house #36.

Nettesheim and Butzheim are very close and used to be separate villages. Butzheim is northwest of Cologne (Koln) and south of Neuss. picture

1886 plat map of Elkport

John Berks owned lots 1, 2, 7, 8 in block 20 which are between Hartge and Elm Streets and between Linn and Pleasant Streets. He sold them on Mar 23, 1889, about the time he moved to Roselle.
